8/14 – H.E.A.L.T.H for Youths’ Summer Youth Employment Program Ends on a Positive Note!

This email that we received this morning from our Summer youth student Raymond pretty much sums up the summer! Thank you to all our students, SYEP staff and families for a great 6 weeks!!!!!

Thank you so much for the opportunity to work for you guys at HEALTH for Youths. It was a very pleasurable experience and a great first job. From working at HEALTH for Youths, I got to interact with people from a multitude of backgrounds and stories, from which I learned about life from other perspectives. From working at the different sites, I really got a feel for what different job environments feel like, and now have a deeper respect and thankfulness for people in our community who play their respective roles, whether it be a Parks and Recreation worker, a custodian, a church member, or a volunteer who just wishes to give back to society. From working with you guys, I acquired essential skills that I envision I will definitely need in the future.

Thank you so much for your help this summer and for the opportunities you guys made available to me. My experience at HEALTH for Youths would have been very different without you two and I will be forever grateful for this first job experience.
